Experience
My name is Debbie. I am a certified teacher in Illinois with certifications in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Special Education (LBS1 Unlimited). I have worked in suburban and urban schools and I have also worked in a private religious setting. I have a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from a seminary and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. I also have a graduate degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. My undergraduate degree is in Anthropology. My philosophy of learning is to provide students with the tools they need to develop their own conclusions. I see myself as a facilitator in the tutoring process. I develop lessons that are relevant and meaningful to each student and I believe in teaching students the skills they need to be life long learners. I am friendly, supportive, reliable and accessible. My lessons plans address multiple learning styles and I demonstrate my lesson for my students.
